We are seeking a Band 7/ 8a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary and dynamic Community locality team. We welcome new qualified and those finishing their training /qualifying this year.
We have launched our brand-new band 7-8a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist preceptorship programme, with a structured support and development plan to enable you to progress to Band 8a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist role on completion of the required competencies.

The post-holder will be joining a core community multi-disciplinary team within Forward Thinking Birmingham, which delivers mental health provision to children, young people, and young adults aged 0-25 and their families. Specialist services that wrap around the Core teams include Eating Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Early Intervention of Psychosis, Neurodevelopment and Personality Disorder and Complex Trauma.
The teams provide assessment, intervention and evidence based therapeutic treatment for a wide range of complex referrals and mental health presentations and associated relationship difficulties.
The main purpose of this role is to provide a highly specialist Systemic Psychotherapy service to a defined population, working within a framework of personal objectives, via membership of the designated service area. This service will be provided in an autonomous manner in accordance with any service agreements developed by the Family Therapy Department and based upon highly developed specialist knowledge.
