Description:

Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Child & Adolescent Addiction & Mental Health, the Family Counsellor provides direct therapeutic intervention to clients in the program (Personalized Care in Community). This role also includes consultation to professionals working within the partnership program and assessment of children and adolescents (ages 12-18yrs) with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive and behavioral disorders. Service provision occurs within the partnership program to meet the needs of the patients who are currently residing in this community based residential program. Service is provided in the context of family centered care and will include liaison and collaboration with community agencies, children’s services and education. The Family Counsellor will also be involved in case conferences, staff meetings, professional development activities, student supervision, program planning, and liaise with other Recovery Alberta and community partners and assume other related duties as required. Appropriate documentation and statistical data collection is required.
Description:

As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.
