We are seeking an experienced practitioner to:
- play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships between the College, students, and their families
- serve as a bridge of communication, support, and guidance, ensuring that families feel connected, informed, and valued within our College community
- take a proactive approach in reaching out to parents of students who are experiencing College refusal, providing support and resources to address underlying issues and facilitate their return to College, and
- partner with parents in the development of their child, collaborate with teachers, refer to relevant external assistance, and champion a wellbeing culture across the College
Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced practitioner to:
- play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships between the College, students, and their families
- serve as a bridge of communication, support, and guidance, ensuring that families feel connected, informed, and valued within our College community
- take a proactive approach in reaching out to parents of students who are experiencing College refusal, providing support and resources to address underlying issues and facilitate their return to College, and
- partner with parents in the development of their child, collaborate with teachers, refer to relevant external assistance, and champion a wellbeing culture across the College.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field including direct work with families in an education setting
- minimum five years of experience, preferably in an educational setting, in case management and in counselling of vulnerable young people
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with families from various backgrounds
- knowledge of community resources and support services available to families
- ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, and
- possess (or can obtain) a current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
