ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Parrsboro Collaborative Emergency Centre is seeking a family physician to join their team which includes family physician(s), nurse practitioners, a family practice nurse, and administrative support staff to provide primary and urgent care in a variety of settings such as:
- long term care
- restorative care
- in-home care
- Parrsboro Regional High School
QUALIFICATIONS
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- interested physicians must obtain ATLS, ACLS, PALS and advanced Airway training
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Responsibilities:
- ensure delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to practice patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- provide service deliverables to meet the needs of the community
- facilitate a coordinated, integrated, and comprehensive team approach to client/patient care
- support the CEC practice by building up patient capacity
- participate in community health promotion, disease prevention, acute episodic care, and continuing care of chronic conditions
