Description:
Applications are invited for the position of a Family School Liaison Counsellor.
Assignment: Full-Time, Temporary
Location: Crescent Valley School Hinton, Alberta
Start Date: Duties to start November 4, 2024 to June 27, 2025 or the return of the incumbent, whichever occurs sooner.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
The competition will remain open until: September 27, 2024, 12:00pm
Background
This is a permanent 10-month position that follows the School Division Calendar. The Family School Liaison Counsellor is part of a multidisciplinary team working with school/community personnel and families to provide support for children with emotional and behavioral needs. The Family School Liaison Counsellor provides 1:1 counselling support to students as well as provides addiction and mental health promotion and prevention to children, youth and families. The Family School Liaison Counsellor works with school staff, parents and community members (who work closely with children and youth) to increase their knowledge, skills and competence related to mental health and illness issues.
