JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Recognized diploma/degree in sociology, social work, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a pre-school or social service sector for diploma holders will be required.
- Fresh graduates with relevant degrees may apply.
Personal Attributes
- Passionate about supporting low income children and families.
- Willingness to work under supervision and learn.
- Team player with a willingness to contribute effectively.
- Good spoken and written English. Ability to speak alternative mother tongue languages will be preferred.
- Displays initiative and can work independently while also being a team player.
- Maintains discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the overall well-being and holistic development of B20 low-income children at designated TERM centers.
- Build good relationships with TERM families to foster trust and cooperation.
- Provide support for at-risk families, which includes:
o Identify and prioritize TERM children and families based on monthly preschool attendance.
o Participate in case conferences to collaboratively address challenges and develop tailored support plans.
o Assist in conducting home visits to better understand the family and provide targeted assistance.
o Assist families in navigating and applying for relevant subsidies, financial assistance, and support programs.
o Link up families with relevant community resources.
- Work closely with Principals, Teachers, and other Child Support Services (CSS) colleagues to align and integrate support efforts for TERM children and families.
- Establish connections between the preschool center and community partners to enhance attendance support delivery when necessary.
- Achieve TERM’s KPI for all supporting centres.
- Timely submission of required reports and maintain accurate updates on the prescribed case management systems
- Narrate case stories which highlight the positive impact of the Child Support Model (CSM) on the lives of TERM children and families.
- Any other duties and projects assigned by the reporting officer.
