As the Family Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals’ lives, making a significant impact through:

  • Maintain positive professional communication with families enrolled in the program while offering guidance and suggestions to the parent.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with parents in the program. Working to meet program goals.
  • Formulate a Family Goal Plan for the parent and target child in conjunction with the parent.
  • Developing and strengthening parents in their ability to parent independently.
  • Maintain medical records in the NYS MIS system including immunizations, well baby visits, and lead screenings as required by the HFA model.
  • Conducted developmental screenings (ASQ and ASQSE) at required increments as set by HFA, reviewing these with Child Development Specialist

Family Support Specialist Minimum Salary: $20.50
Family Support Specialist Maximum Salary: $21.00
Family Support Specialist Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30-4:30
Thursday 11-7

Qualifications:

  • This position requires local travel with mileage reimbursement in personal car
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 1-3 years of experience dealing with a diverse population
