About Us:
The Salvation Army Northern Territory Family Violence Services provides a range of programs supporting adults and children experiencing domestic and family violence, including crisis accommodation, outreach case management support, and counselling.
The purpose of the role
This position is responsible for the operational leadership of family violence accommodation and associated programs/ services to support the journey to recovery for victim survivors experiencing or escaping family violence located in Darwin ensuring child focused, strength based and trauma informed service practices. The role is instrumental in providing operational leadership; incorporating knowledge and understanding of internal practices, policies, and guidelines, including specialist family violence case management, outreach and afterhours response services.
As the Team Leader you will provide supervision, support, and guidance to the Case Management team to provide crisis response, case management, and recovery support for victim survivors of family violence.
This role is a Full-time Permanent role, paid in accordance with a SCHADS award, level 7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Violence service and practice management including oversight and implementation of internal practices, policies, procedures, frameworks, and guidelines
  • Provide supervision and line management to Specialist Family Violence Practitioners and Support Workers to ensure high-quality service delivery that is safety focussed, person and child-centred, inclusive, strength based and trauma informed
  • Programmatic management including oversight of quality and compliance to ensure accreditation standards are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with other community services and organisations to facilitate collaborative practices and holistic responses

About you:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work or similar and demonstrated relevant work experience
  • Experience in the family violence sector and managing/coordinating residential care settings
  • Experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services
