As a Farm Research Officer, you’ll be an integral part of a dedicated team, based somewhere in the region covering North Cheshire up to Northumberland to connect with farmers and gather crucial insights into their farming operations, practices, and land management. You’ll have the independence to manage your own schedule, using your skills with Excel and data to make a real impact. The Company: A UK-based, international business providing financial consultancy services to the agricultural sector. The team is made up of specialists within the sector who are well placed to analyse businesses and make recommendations for improvement. SKILLS YOU WILL NEED:
Essential:
- Good general knowledge and understanding of British agriculture and the ability to appreciate current issues faced by farmers and growers in the UK
- Good communication skills with the ability to build a rapport quickly and easily with farming customers
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numeracy
- A willingness to learn about accounting principles
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Proficient IT skills, in particular Excel
- Clean UK driving licence and the willingness to travel within your designated area
Desirable:
- Some knowledge of farm business management
Remuneration: A competitive salary and access to the company bonus scheme, as well as the opportunity for some flexitime working.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- To manage a number of farms in your region, undertaking visits on a daily basis
- To collect, analyse and process business information from the farms
- To maintain and develop good working relationships with farmers
- To work collaboratively across the team to achieve business needs
