EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma plus additional coursework.
- 1 year of related work experience on a farm and crop operation.
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time and lift 50+ lbs.
- Concern and care about the animals general well-being.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High standards and excellent work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- The care and feeding of livestock and equine
- Activities related to crop production
- Use of technologies and tools to document important production data (such as HerdTrax or SheepTrax)
- Setting-up and assisting with labs for students and assisting with research project coordination on the farm
- General cleaning and minor maintenance of facilities and equipment and all other related duties
