Westchester was established locally in 2007 and includes a portfolio of more than 70 farmland investments, with a total AUM in excess of AU$2.7 billion across Cropping, Horticulture, Viticulture and Nature Based Solutions strategies.
The Central Region in Australia is made up of a sub-portfolio of agricultural assets across Central NSW. The region provides the business with exposure to Dryland and Irrigated Cropping assets, along with the seed asset for the Nature Based Solutions strategy.
The Farmland Analyst role will be working closely with the Central Region, Senior Regional Asset Manager, assisting in the management and expansion of a portfolio of farmland investments, via new acquisitions and value add development strategies.
We are seeking an analytical, relationship orientated, and enthusiastic person with the desire to learn and grow to join our highly experienced team. The focus of the role will be the portfolio management, financial reporting, commodity marketing, farm mapping, maintenance of farm data and records, WH&S compliance and ESG initiatives.
The candidate requires an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Investment and/or Management. Background or experience in Cropping industries, with minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in Agribusiness Management, Asset Management or Investment
Management would be preferred. Irrigation Industry knowledge ideal.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Advanced computer skills, including highly proficient in Microsoft 365 desktop applications - in particular Excel.
  • Basic understanding of spatial mapping systems, property valuation techniques, farm budgeting tools, agronomic systems and the rural property sector would be preferred.
  • Financial modelling skills and desire to build competency
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the broader team.
  • Ability to write and present proposals, reports and research papers.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
  • First Aid Certificate is required.
