Description:
ElectriNet, part of the Horizon Energy Group, is looking for a skilled Faultsman to join the team in Gisborne. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the operation, restoration, and maintenance of 400V to 50kV overhead lines and underground cables, ensuring public safety and excellence in all we do.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Qualifications: NZ Certificate in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Distribution) (Level 4) and a current NZ Electrical Practising Licence. Fault Response & Switching Certification (Level 4) is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in the industry, familiar with distribution systems up to 33kV.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient with equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, and network troubleshooting.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and safe work practices.
- Communication: Good communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable working at heights and handling technical equipment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to respond to after-hours callouts and emergency situations.
- Teamwork: Able to work independently or as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Fault Response: Respond to faults within service level agreements, repair and maintain network assets efficiently.
- Safety Leadership: Ensure safety procedures are followed, both personally and within your team.
- Customer Service: Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring high-quality service and quick resolution of issues.
- Documentation: Complete fault sheets, hazard IDs, and material records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Team Support: Work closely with your team, mentor trainees, and ensure tasks are completed to standard.
