Description:

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure the execution of the global/regional Ocean Freight FCL product strategy, in alignment with Sales and Country strategies
  • Define and maintain Pricing Strategy per FCL product/service including definition of Market Selling Rates (MSR)
  • Oversee the development of a trade lane strategy that supports Corporate Product Strategy and that is aligned with IVs and Countries.
  • Implement and monitor the Trade Lane Master Planning process
  • Support the Trade Lane Managers in managing the demand and supply, and in defining corrective
  • actions with Corporate Sales organization and Countries to reach agreed sales/yield targets and carrier commitments
  • Act as the Line manager for SG/MY Cluster Procurement Organization
  • Ensure adherence to the Global Carrier Policy within the assigned Region, monitor performance and initiate corrective actions
  • Establish ‘Cluster Carrier Policy’ within the framework of the Global Carrier Policy
  • Optimize the cost of sales for Ocean Freight FCL within the SG/MY cluster.
  • Assess Ocean Carriers with strategic importance
  • Negotiate and contract Strategic and Preferred Carriers in line with and the Global Carrier Strategy

Ensure advanced level of Subcontractor relationship with Strategic Ocean Carriers

  • Ensure sufficient capacity as per Global Carrier Policy and company growth targets
  • Ensure adherence to the globally agreed and binding policies, guidelines and standards to ensure efficient and qualitative FCL product management and operational delivery within the SG/MY cluster.
  • Monitor and control FCL product performance management within agreed KPI framework and targets provided by Ocean Freight Systems & Processes and Governance
  • Drive continuous improvement of FCL management and operations and develop, drive and monitor corrective actions in case of deviations from actual performance to plan/target
  • Working closely with SG/MY cluster RFQ manager, provide guidance to Cluster Tender Management on missing buying rates, plans expected space and recommend tender strategies.
  • Monitor and actively support the usage and quality of the central rates repository
