Purpose of Role:
The FCM Operations Support Analyst is a member of the day-to-day operations team. Areas of focus include Reconciliations, Position Transfers, Deliveries, Regulatory Reporting, and Option Expirations.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Understanding of Listed Futures & Options.
  • Zero to two (0-2) years of clearing experience
  • Knowledge of reconciliation and accounting practices
  • Knowledge of XTP Back Office system preferred but not required.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and entry level knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
    Salary Range: $50,000 to $650,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily and monthly deliveries in accordance with exchanges rules.
  • Gather intentions from clients of approaching delivery periods.
  • Collaborate with the Risk department as expiration approaches.
  • With oversite, confirm reportable dates and positions with the various exchanges throughout the delivery period.
  • Enter daily cash entries to client accounts and the G/L ensuring postings are reconciled daily to the exchange.
  • Assist in the accurate update of static data in the back-office systems used for delivery processing.
  • Ensure T+1 Trade, Position & Variation Margin reconciliations for all futures and options exchanges, including third party clearing brokers, are efficiently processed.
  • Accurately report T and T+1 positions to the Exchanges and Regulators.
  • Adjust positions on T and T+1 with exchanges as needed
  • Participate in weekly option expiration cycles.
  • Develop good relationship and learn requirements of front office staff
  • Efficiently manage correspondence through group mailbox.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
