Description:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
As a Federal Account Manager, you will develop long term strategic business relationships with Veteran’s Administration Medical Centers (VAMC), Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) and Indian Health Services (IHS) leadership members and decision makers of therapeutic areas assigned. You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Federal healthcare ecosystem to provide effective account management. You will be responsible for demand generation of assigned brands and be proactive in identifying issues and challenges within the assigned federal accounts regarding product access.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years’ experience working in at least one of the following: VA/Federal Channel, Military Treatment Facility and/or Veteran’s Administration Accounts or Health Systems Account Specialty teams with history of success or market access, or other Federal or Health System Account Experience.
- Understanding of pharmacy and patient journey within the VA, inclusive of clinical and pharmacy pathways within the MTF
- Understanding of financial concepts, contracting issues, and pricing within the federal system
- Ability to understand customer specific needs and identify resources and opportunities to partner around those needs in assigned therapeutic area.
- Demonstrated fluency in translating clinical outcomes and health economic data into customer value.
- Strong cross functional collaboration and networking skills to create avenues for access among restricted accounts or limited access facilities.
- Willingness to travel. Travel can be 75%+ depending on location.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years of pharma or healthcare related account management experience
- Demonstrated fluency in Biologics
- Prior experience in a pharma commercial B2B function within market access
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and strong management skills.
- Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities.
- Prior Military or Veteran’s Administration experience is beneficial, along with an understanding of the Command Structure and Federal Culture.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 155,910.40 to $233,865.60. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
