    Protection Strategies, Inc. is seeking an Experienced GovCon Contracts Manager to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This is an onsite position, located at our corporate office in West Knoxville.

REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES FOR THE GOVCON CONTRACT MANAGER

  • Experience in applying organizational standards when requesting and evaluating requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products with a demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented - attention to detail is crucial in this role.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions received from government entities, employees, managers, clients, and the general public.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE GOVCON CONTRACTS MANAGER:



    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance or another related field

    • 5 years’ contract management experience, Federal CovCon contracting required
    • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification preferred
    • Certified Government Contractor (CGC) certification preferred
    • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certified preferred

    Responsibilities:

    The job of Contracts Manager was established for the purpose/s of performing duties associated with proactively managing existing and new Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (ex: GSA Schedules), agency / client contracts (including blanket agreements and task orders), contract product offerings, and partner (vendor and subcontractor) contracts in accordance with corporate goals and objectives. The GovCon Contracts Manager will manage the daily administration of various contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, 1099s, and GSA schedules, as well as collaborate with various departments to support contract needs. They will develop and maintain an efficient contract administration system that supports the negotiation of contracts terms and conditions. And ensure the contract execution process adheres to company policies. While monitoring authorizations and correspondence related to contracts, keeping detailed, accurate and organized contract files.

    • Prepare summaries and updates of contractual requirements and budgets.
    • Review contract modifications for accuracy and compliance before finalization.
    • Perform necessary contract closing activities.
    • Execute non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), terms and conditions, and contract modification requests
    • Respond to requests for information from government officials such as contract audits; CPARS; protests; BOA sales, etc.
    • Assist Business Development staff with the interpretation of contract terms, conditions and requirements to ensure contract compliance and billing accuracy.
    • Communicate with customer contract administrators to ensure all required reporting and notifications are completed.
    • Prepare notices of contract changes and monitor contractor performance, including the status and reporting of deliverables
    • Maintain audit files for each contract, including all relevant documents such as the original contract, correspondence, changes, amendments, and payment schedules.
    • Ensure contractors comply with legal requirements, specifications, and regulations.
    • Analyze and mitigate risks associated with contract administration.
    • Stay updated with industry standards and maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
