JOB DESCRIPTION

Manages relationships with Federal Government customers. Grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Approves loans within assigned limits, manages loan and portfolio credit quality, sources prospects and develops new customer relationships. Provides financial advice to customers and sells appropriate bank products and services to those prospects and clients. Makes appropriate referrals. This portfolio does not typically include credit and underwriting activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting or other related field or other relevant work experience
  • Typically ten or more years of banking experience
  • Government clearance required

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong leadership abilities and strategic management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of division and relation to industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Considerable tact, diplomacy, and people skills
  • Government experience preferred
  • Treasury Management, depository and product experience preferred
