The Role:
Reporting to the VP of Performance Marketing for the US Group Business, the Federal Product Owner will be responsible for driving growth and profitability targets for the Federal Government business segment and creating a clear vision and strategy (where to play/how to win), defining concrete objectives, and driving the execution.
The role will be responsible for understanding the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our Federal Government customers and prospects, and creating compelling value propositions, messaging, and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion. As a Product Owner, you manage the Federal Government Agile Pod and work closely with the Sales, Product, and Marketing Operations, CX, and Insights teams to identify and prioritize market opportunities, develop go-to-market plans, and measure and optimize the impact of your initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced agile marketing professional who can inspire others as we continue to further nurture our relationships with end customers. The ideal candidate will have a natural business acumen, eye for creativity, be a generator of dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences and have agile marketing pod experience.
Achieving results in this role will require the incumbent to be an innovative marketer with strong agile marketing skills, relationship skills to work cross-functionally with a broad range of stakeholders within Product Marketing, CX, Servicing and Marketing Operations, among others. As well as a willingness to adopt and lead other through the process of New Ways of Working.

ESSENTIAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience managing marketing programs and campaigns
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile Marketing environment
  • Experience as a Product Owner or other equivalent position
  • Experience creating marketing plans that are tied to measurable results.
  • Strong influencer skillset across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and an ability to lead, delegate to, manage, and motivate a team of talented professionals
  • Strategic thinker with the ability and the skill set to see the bigger picture as well as understand the details of campaigns
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Previous experience working in an agile operating model is a plus.
  • Strong process management skills with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize efforts among multiple projects

The salary range for applicants for this position is location dependent. 85,000 - 137,400.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activity and coordination within the Federal Agile Marketing Pod.
  • Oversee the prioritization of work to drive value for the Federal Agile Marketing Pod.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to understand OKRs, KPIs and other key business goals and translate those needs to the Pod.
  • Experience leveraging a full MarTech stack including but not limited to CDP, email, paid media, analytics and AI tools.
  • Work with channel leads to develop marketing plans to support business objectives and key results.
  • Facilitate market research and analysis to segment our customer base and identify key personas, pain points, and buying criteria.
  • Owns development of marketing strategy and drives alignment with stakeholders on execution timeline
  • Facilitate the development of segment-specific value propositions, messaging, and positioning that resonate with our target audiences and differentiate us from competitors.
  • Ensure there is an optimized marketing strategy by tracking, measuring, and reporting on the performance and ROI of your pod’s activities and optimize them based on data and feedback.
  • Stay updated on the latest market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence and share them with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Accountable for overseeing the budget ensuring that all campaigns and communications development are managed efficiently.
  • Manage agile teams based on key product priorities.
  • Provide strategic leadership to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
