GTC, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Fibre Design & Construction Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”. The successful candidate will follow a structured training programme to gain the required knowledge and experience which will allow the successful applicant to take the customer’s requirements, convert these into a fibre network design and manage the on-site delivery of an effective and efficient fibre network within target.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking all backhaul connectivity viability studies to ensure the most cost effective and efficient engineering for off-site delivery.
  • Managing all third-party contractors to ensure all works are completed in line with design, program dates and on budget.
  • Promoting and maintaining first class customer service at all times, whilst building strong customer relationships.
  • Ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.
  • Ensuring vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to the Multi-utility Operations Manager.
