We are looking for a Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) in the Munich area to join our great team and develop our clients on the Energy Market!
In your position as Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) you will provide pre-sales technical support, consultancy, and services mainly to Moxa’s strategic accounts. These objectives in terms of strategic success, business growth as well as customer satisfaction are a core part of our global Moxa strategy.
To successfully drive these important projects, you will work in close collaboration not only with our contact partners at our customers’ and at our distribution channels’ but also with our European sales organization. Deploying proofs of concept as well as conducting technical training courses or local seminars are as much an integral part of your function as bridging the gap between product solutions and services. Working in close alignment with our technical support department you will create KPI based strategies to further increase customer loyalty and deploy across our European sales region. Within this framework one of your focus areas in terms of strategic goals and customer support will be the development of platform business.
Key responsibilities:
- You support the sales department with in-depth technical advice for our key accounts, especially in the pre-sales phase, on and off site as required.
- You are responsible for the development of product and application presentations and technical seminars for customers as well as their deployment
- Additionally, you provide technical proposals and handle requests for proposal from our key accounts.
- You are familiar with project tender requests and will illustrate your technical skills and understanding by creating solid and convincing proposals, e.g. via network architectures which clearly showcase our technical value proposition. You proactively collect our customers’ feedback and share the consolidated feedback to support our Business Development Team and our Strategic Business Units as a tool to further support their approach to customer and market needs as well as competitive landscape and technology trends.
- You work in close collaboration with both our local and global technical support organizations to ensure full alignment on technical issues and their solutions or deployment.
- You will be an integral part of our European team and actively contribute to create and maintain a working environment based on trust and mutual respect.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 3-4 years of experience in FAE or pre-sales technical support in the industrial automation or networking industries, with work experience across Europe.
Professional Certificates/Licenses: Network Certification award/license such as Cisco’s CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
Languages: Strong communication skills with both senior executives of major customers and large technical teams. Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in another European language is an advantage.

Travel:
This role involves travel to customer locations. We are looking for someone who is open to traveling within Europe, with the possibility of occasional trips outside Europe.
