Field Application Specialist (Belgium - Flanders)
As we continue our growth trajectory at QuidelOrtho, we are now recruiting for Field Application Specialist to join our team.
Your new role:
Within this role you will be focusing on our customers based in Belgium Flanders (Antwerpen, Oost-Vlaanderen, Vlaams-Brabant & West-Vlaanderen).
As a Field Application Specialist, you will be responsible for driving solution implementation and providing sales support on QuidelOrtho’s products for Immunohematology and Clinical Laboratories (equipment, software, reagents) within the Flanders territory to contribute to the consolidation, retention and development of the installed base.
You will be responsible for providing both proactive and reactive customer support (Software, reagents), providing on-site customer training, optimizing customer laboratory configuration, and contributing to ultimate retention and menu expansion, in synergy with the sales team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manages efficient implementation of solutions through product knowledge and execution of standardized QuidelOrtho processes.
- Ensure pre-installation audits of the systems and present final implementation planning to the customers.
- Provide training on use of systems. Integrate systems into the lab by assisting the customer in validating the equipment on-site.
- Introduction and start of the Hypercare post-Go live support based on local guidelines.
- Troubleshoot customer complaints as dispatched under the guidance of the Technical Solutions Centre (TSC) or experienced FAS and re-training to address customer issues, as necessary; works collaboratively with internal QuidelOrtho resources and customer to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Records activities in defined CRM.
- Escalate complex issues to the TSC in accordance with the procedure in place.
- Participate in communication of technical and scientific information to customers (Technical bulletin, regulatory affairs notifications, product information, etc.)
- Organise proactive customer visits in line with the defined strategy to maximize customer retention rates by ensuring customer satisfaction, optimizing the use of systems through advice and information sharing, strengthening customer’s expertise by leading on-site customer training as needed.
- Conduct regular analyser and service performance reviews, partners with sales colleague(s) to deliver executive business reviews, demonstrating value that QuidelOrtho is delivering to customer, and identifying opportunities for improvement and advocating for these within QuidelOrtho.
- Provides timely and accurate updates on lab activity, account updates, and other reports via CRM system.
- With support, provide support for Tenders as needed
- Collaborate with sales to identify opportunities for improvements and/or equipment placement within current accounts, understanding of competition.
- With the support of Marketing or senior FAS, implements menu adoption at installation, identifies and closes menu expansion opportunities.
- Starts valuing any additional activities to develop the revenue (depending on local strategies).
- Attends trainings and EMEA FAS/Sales meetings to support the acquisition of the competencies to fulfil the FAS responsibilities around the 3 Job’s pillars: Sales, Technical and Scientific.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Degree qualified in a relevant field (e.g. Science)
- Clinical Background: experience in Transfusion Medicine/ Immunohematology or Clinical Chemistry is essential.
- At least two years working in a medical device/diagnostic market or equivalent experience
- Autonomous, organized and able to deliver results while working in a highly independent and fast-paced team environment
- Business Acumen: Proficient at uncovering key business issues and providing insightful, actionable recommendations for improvement
- Fluency in both in Dutch and English (French would be highly beneficial).
- Good customer relation skills with ability to empathize with customers.
- Ability to operate in a team environment as well as in isolation is important. Tact and diplomacy are often required when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to gain co-operation and consensus both within and between work groups including external agencies is important. To handle confidently objections and provide alternatives to customers and colleagues is also important.
- IT computer & network skills.
- A full clean driving license and willingness to travel within the territory is essential; a willingness to travel within the BeNeLux cluster would be highly advantageous.
