FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – POWER SYSTEMS & POWER ELECTRONICS
Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia
Braemac is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our Test & Measurement Team focusing on the Power Electronics & Power Systems Industry.
The position offers an exciting opportunity in a high growth industry representing leading suppliers such as Opal-RT Real Time simulation products, NI (National Instruments) and other High Power components.
The main responsibilities include the promotion of our Power system products to existing and new customers in collaboration with the Sales Team, training and technical support for customers evaluating Power products.
The job is a mix of customer support, technical marketing, and sales.
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in the power field with a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Good knowledge of Microgrid Systems, Power Transmission, Solar Energy Systems, Grid simulation systems, Renewal Power Generation, BMS and EV.
- Excellent knowledge of Real-Time Simulation systems including Power in the Loop systems.
- Strong existing relationships in the Power Industry – Industrial, Academic and Utility companies.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Industrial and Academic customers, engaging with key stakeholders, and decision-makers to identify new opportunities in the Power Systems and Power Electronics field.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to existing and new customers.
- Collaborate with technical sales engineers and product specialists from our suppliers to provide solutions and address customers’ technical requirements
- Management of all opportunities from concept to project win
- Attend supplier training both locally and overseas to ensure most current industry knowledge and accreditation where required.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the company and promote our products.
- Track and report on sales opportunities and customer information in the company CRM system.
- Tracking competitive landscape, customer landscape gathering and mapping
- Additional duties associated with the above as assigned.
