Overview:
Field EITs split their time between design and operations and are responsible for quality assurance and quality control on projects. The Field EIT is also the site liaison for communications with management

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling
  • Cost Management
  • Material Management
  • Site Liaison
  • QA / QC on projects
  • Inspection and testing
  • Design development and simultaneous field engineering on multiple projects
  • Monitoring of drilling and grouting operations
  • Daily logging of work completed
  • Quality control supervision via real-time inspection
  • Majority of working days spent on site at construction project

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering, or working towards

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment (i.e. policies, procedures, technologies and best practices)
  • Physical Demands
  • Travel to jobsites throughout Ontario
  • Time spent sitting, standing, walking on uneven surfaces
  • Work in adverse weather conditions (snow, cold, heat)
