Field Medical Managers are key members of the medical department. The role of the Field Medical Mangers is to interact significantly with external customers and they have therefore a field focused setting.
Essential Requirements:
- Advanced degree in relevant scientific discipline
- Minimally 2 years of demonstrated experience in medical affairs and/or experience in a Medical Advisor/MSL function
- Fluent Dutch, French, English (oral and written).
- Shows excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively convey complex medical and scientific information to diverse audiences.
- Shows the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to support field medical activities, including identifying target territories, setting goals, and creating detailed action plans.
- Demonstrates strong medical and scientific knowledge relevant to the product portfolio to effectively engage with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- Exhibits the ability to identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders, build strong relationships, and gain insights to drive clinical advocacy and education.
- Positive and ‘can-do’ approach; biased towards finding solutions and win/wins, responsiveness and flexibility.
- Excellent team playing and interpersonal skills; strong sense of ownership and accountability, and proven project management.
- Familiar with respective health authority, GCP and ICH requirements, including regulations of promotional materials.
- Successful development, implementation and management of innovative programs and processes.
- Pronounced interest in commercial success of projects/products in TA/BU.
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 60% in the field (Belgium – Luxembourg mainly
Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Expertise and Medical Support: Provides broad and deep understanding of the therapeutic area cross-functionally. Seen as credible medical and scientific expert by internal and external customers.
- Develops the medical strategy in line with the Sandoz strategy, propose an annual medical plan and ensure its proper deployment (clinical study, publication plan, communication plan, strategic axes of scientific partnerships, etc.).
- Coordinates and ensures qualitative product / disease and therapies trainings on assigned therapy area and medicines to internal and external customers, including the field force.
- Takes the responsibility of the Budget for their TA in their country
- Coordinates and ensures qualitative product / disease and therapies trainings on assigned therapy area and medicines to internal and external customers, including the field force.
- Organizes and leads expert committees to gather insights and enrich strategic thinking
- Serves as a point of contact within the Medical Affairs team for external experts and in general in order to satisfy their needs for scientific information and knowledge in a therapeutic area relevant for Sandoz medicines, and support the safe, effective and appropriate use of Sandoz products.
- Collaborates actively as member of Brand Teams with other functions (such as Marketing, Sales, Tender manager) to ensure development and implementation of material and projects part of the strategic customer plans.
- Integrates the patients’ point of view into all medical reflections and actions and engage as a scientific and medical partner with the medical community and patient associations within the framework of the Sandoz strategy
- Develops and maintains external contacts with KOLs, influencers, key associations, academic and regulatory community to gain insights in market and clinical evolutions including competitive intelligence and organize Advisory Boards when appropriate.
- Responsible for the planning of the congress strategy for their specific TA.
- Engages HCP’s in non-promotional medical and scientific discussions regarding all on-market and in-development Sandoz products or topics relating to disease states.
- Supports developing new data (through e.g. IITs, NIS and research collaborations), analyze existing data and distributes this internally and externally where appropriate
- Provides new collaboration opportunities with HCOs and HCPs
- Develops, initiates and follows up of medical projects and/or clinical studies initiated within the therapeutic area of interest for Sandoz (e.g. research collaborations).
- Ensures that all material and activities are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Company policies and accepted standards of best practice.
