Sportable is a multidisciplinary mecca for sports and technology enthusiasts and our expert teams of data scientists, sport scientists, engineers, mechanical designers, developers and creatives are pushing team performance and fan engagement to new levels.
This exciting, fixed-term contract role will support our European Client Delivery teams during the Autumn Nations Series 2024 tournament. We are looking for individuals with a proven ability to work in fast paced and pressurized environments with high quality decision making, communication and great attention to detail. You will support the validation and reporting of smart ball data from matchdays and training sessions throughout the campaign, such as reports for teams, officials, broadcast and governing bodies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • In depth understanding of rugby union rules and tactics
  • Proven ability to work and solve problems in high pressure environments
  • Competent using Excel for data analysis and interpreting data

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree within sport science, sport technology or technical equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with similar sports technology (GPS, video analysis, tactical applications, ect.)
  • Experience in a live sports broadcasting environment
  • Experience with PowerBI for reporting
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking

Responsibilities:

  • Become ‘super users’ of Sportable’s Match Tracker
  • Support the organization and seamless execution of match day services to the highest possible standard
  • Deliver live match editorial content to stakeholders
  • Lead the post-match data validation and reporting
  • Assist with general client delivery operations when required (quality assurance, field testing)
  • Support team training sessions using Match Tracker when required
  • Work closely with internal Sportable teams on product / service development
  • Ensure that the company’s health, safety & data protection policies are adhered to and always practiced.
  • Ability to work regular weekend and unsociable hours
