Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have minimum 5 years of leadership experience in directing teams and developing strategies.
  • You have completed post-secondary education (university/college) in engineering/technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have safety certification including First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Basic Firefighting (company will provide training if needed).
  • You have power engineer ticket/certificate of same level. This must meet requirements of the facility.
  • You have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills (Process/Electrical/Instrumentation/Controls).
  • You have a proven track record in delivering results on schedule, quality and budget.
  • You have a valid driver’s licence and transportation to site.

BONUS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have experience as Process Operator.
  • You have experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As the Field Operations Manager, you will ensure all field operations are running smoothly, efficiently and safely, and that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards. You will direct a team of Operators and Technicians across several sites.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:

  • You will collaborate with Project Teams on the review and development of project documents (DBMs, Controls Strategy, Commissioning Plans, Test Plans, HAZOP, MOC, JAH, SOP) and coordination of field resources.
  • You will work closely with operators and other support groups to ensure key objectives are prioritized and effectively implemented in accordance with Svante’s corporate strategies.
  • You will carry out effective and efficient cost management activities (target-setting, budgeting/forecasting, variance explanations, and identifying efficiency opportunities).
  • You will develop and implements a maintenance plan to maximize plant on-stream factor and ensures accurate and high integrity data generated by the plant.
  • You will support the implementation and sustainment of major programs such as ERP, Asset Management and Reliability, Emergency Management, and Training.
  • You will be responsible for generating reports and analyzing data related to field operations and using this information to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to senior management.
