Roy Morgan is Australia’s best known and longest established market research company, with an unparalleled reputation for reliable, accurate, meaningful, revealing market research. Our field workforce conducts interviews and collects information from households across Australia on a range of topics about life and living to better understand the interests of the Australian population. The information we collect forms the basis of informing governments (at all levels), institutions, and businesses of the future needs of the Australian population and to make informed decisions. You will conduct surveys and interview households by telephone and collect information on a range of matters including everyday living, health, housing and shopping intentions.
As a Field Research Officer, you will undertake professional and accurate data collection (ie: interviewing) of the public with neutrality in asking questions and gathering respondent responses. You need to be comfortable engaging with people – both in helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in the survey and asking survey questions in line with the project you are assigned to. You will engage with people from all walks of life.
We have a large number of remote Field Research Officers roles opening up, in which all of the telephone interviewing can be conducted working from home, if you live in Australia.
As a Field Research Officer, you will:
- Conduct telephone interviews in a professional and accurate manner with respondents
- Achieve target response rates and data integrity scores
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
To be a successful Field Research Officer you will:
- Enjoy engaging with, and be able to relate to, people from diverse and different backgrounds and experiences and have a confident, friendly and professional communication style to engage well with people over the phone.
- Have market research interviewing experience or equivalent interviewing/customer engagement experience.
Be professional, have a high level of integrity and possess mature social skills and able to display empathy and patience.
Be able to commit to minimum 3 shifts per week. Shifts run in the evenings Monday-Friday, from 4pm - 8.30pm AEST, and on the weekends, from 11am - 4pm AEST.
Have good computer and technical skills, including standard web (e.g. email, website navigation) and the ability to use Google Chrome confidently.
- Able to work from home on a Mac/Windows PC/Laptop and have a reliable computer and a steady working location free from external noise and distractions, for work purposes.
- Have a reliable internet connection (must be able to stream YouTube/Netflix reliably and ethernet connected is preferable over wifi).
