Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Proactively build and maintain effective business relationships with new customers and existing customers operating within the region driving new business and growth. Provide a high level of face-to-face customer contact and to a lesser extent, phone and email response:
  • Conduct and assist with presentations, training, and road shows.
  • Work with the Proposals group to provide quotations for products and demonstrate products.
  • Provide general and technical support for products.
  • Be responsible for the assigned bookings budget.
  • Provide a proactive approach to the sale of Emerson Isolation products by understanding customer needs and pains. Ensure there is a strong awareness of Emerson’s capabilities within the market and the local support.
  • Implement sales and marketing plans and strategies for the region. Review, evaluate, and report on sales activities and initiatives, keeping CRM fully maintained and up to date.
  • Conduct analysis and research to gain a full understanding of the customer base and keep abreast of any changes to the market, competitors, technology, and the industry in general.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Tertiary or trade qualified in an engineering, science, or business discipline.
  • Proven sales experience and skills (negotiation, influence, formal, presentation, closure, etc.)
  • Experience and knowledge of the resource, chemical, and water industry
  • Experience and understanding of sales budgeting processes and forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Understanding the technical aspects of the business and key business drivers
  • Previous experience using CRM databases.
