JOB OVERVIEW
Next Generation Home Improvements are the Midlands market leader, offering high quality resin driveways & patios, composite fences, aluminium gates & garage doors. After a record breaking year in 2024 where we installed £4.5million of product we are ambitiously expanding our sales team to continue our growth.
We are looking for a dynamic direct sales professional to join the team, not just to make up the numbers but to make a big difference to our turnover and for them to enjoy the rewards that they would gain from their endeavours.
The role involves visiting customers at their home (8-12 pre arranged appointments per week will be provided by our various marketing sources so no cold calling is involved). Customers needs will be discussed, our products will be demonstrated, and an affordable design for the customer’s project will hopefully result in a sale.
Ideally applicants will have great communication skills, have a proven track record in sales (or an associated customer facing role), have a great work ethic and infectious positive attitude.
Full training will be provided in both sales techniques & product knowledge so, whilst experience in dealing with customers is important, this role would be suitable for an individual who feels they have all the skills to succeed in a sales role (and just need someone to give them a chance!!) as well as somebody who is already a successful salesperson.
What we need from you:
- Flexibility. We have to fit around a customer’s schedule so have to be available in the evenings & Saturdays. Having said this we also try and provide you with a reasonable work/life balance so the job is still enjoyable. The job is full time & permanent but will involve some antisocial hours.
- Positivity. As with most sales roles, a positive attitude is key. We are looking for someone to join the team that we can work with & develop into a top performer in the team. With this is mind it is essential you have plenty of belief in both yourself & the products that we offer.
- Honesty & integrity. With you being the customer’s main link to our company it’s essential that you present yourself & us in a professional light at all times.
- Transport. It is essential that you have a driving licence & your own transport.

- Plenty of opportunities. The main frustration is the sales industry is a lack of leads/appointments. We have an excellent marketing team who continue to provide us with good quality customers for us to work with.

- A fantastic pay-deal. We offer a modest basic + totally uncapped sales commission. Our current top 3 salespeople all earned between £72,000 - £105,000 in 2024 and aim to increase that in 2025. More realistically we would expect a new recruit to comfortably earn £35,000 - £45,000 in their first year with us and then increase their wages as they gain experience/develop into the role (but there is nothing stopping you ripping up the form book and establishing yourself as one of our top 3 salespeople very quickly!!). Basically we want to recruit somebody who wants to earn amazing wages but is willing to work hard and EARN those wages rather than just relying on a large basic wage.
- Honesty/integrity. We will treat you properly & with respect (something that doesn’t happen enough in the sales industry) and will back you all the way.
