Could you be the full-time onsite Field Service Engineer in Ottawa, ON, CA we’re looking for?

Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

“Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive mechanical and systems engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, detail-oriented, and resilient teammates. You’ll ensure the safe and effective operation of LRT vehicles on the Ottawa LRT system, directly impacting the reliability and efficiency of our transportation services. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Maintenance, Sourcing, Industrial Departments), own the Configuration and Design Change Management of the Project, and much more.”

We’ll look to you for:

  • Optimizing the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan,
  • Detecting, defining, and implementing modifications of the maintained products to improve reliability and serviceability,
  • Assuring the update of the technical documentation of the projects,
  • Supporting the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner,
  • Managing Obsolescence Plan,
  • Developing the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automation, Robotics, Railway Engineering or other relevant discipline,
  • Experience or understanding of rail fleet system engineering,
  • Knowledge of rolling stock equipment and maintenance,
  • Strong technical writing, data analysis, and reporting skills,
  • A certification in P. Eng or progress towards attaining P. Eng certification is preferred.,
  • Capacity for managing technical risks,
  • Effective, professional interpersonal skill
