Position: Field Service Engineer – Gas Detection / Fire Alarm Testing
Wilec Fire & Security Ltd are looking for a qualified Field Service Engineer - Gas Detection / Fire Alarm Testing to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer at Wilec Fire & Security Ltd, you will be responsible for the testing, servicing, and maintenance of gas detection systems and fire alarm systems within the territory of Ireland. You will work closely with clients in various sectors to ensure their safety systems are functioning optimally and compliant with regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Relevant qualifications in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering.
· Experience with gas detection and/or fire alarm systems.
· Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to travel across Ireland as part of the role.
· Full, clean driving license.
Responsibilities:
· Perform regular calibration, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance of gas detection and fire alarm systems.
· Respond to emergency callouts and provide on-site troubleshooting and repair services.
· Install new systems and components, ensuring they meet safety standards.
· Complete detailed service reports and update customer records accordingly.
· Ensure that all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
· Provide training to customers on the use and maintenance of their systems.
· Maintain a stock of critical spare parts and tools required for service visits.
· Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support during system upgrades or expansions.
· Keep up to date with industry standards and best practices.
