Description:

WE ARE OFFERING A FAST-TRACK GRADUATE PROGRAM FOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS IN EUROPE, STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2025. YOUR BASE LOCATION WILL BE LEIXLIP, KILDARE.

The 9-month program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry.
As a member of the Field Service Engineer Program, you will participate in a blended learning environment where you will receive FSE certification through hands-on equipment training on Applied’s broad portfolio of products. The Field Service Engineer Program promotes a broad, career-growth foundation. Your quick exposure to Applied Materials’ suite of digital tools and technologies, internal operations, customer requirements, and project presentations will prepare you for successful future career growth.
Upon completion of your training, you will be located in either Grenoble (France), Agrate (Italy), Dresden (Germany) or Kildare (Ireland), which are vibrant hubs for the semiconductor industry in Europe.

Responsibilities:

Field Service Engineers (FSE) are working in state-of-the-art facilities and at customer sites, where they are the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team. They like to troubleshoot hardware, solve complex problems, and make equipment work better.

  • On-site installation and support of leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipment.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team
  • Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination of the systems.
  • FSEs work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.
