JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated and driven team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in delivering impeccable technical support and service to our valued customers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in electronics / biotechnology / medical devices / engineering or related
- Previous experience in servicing analytical equipment or equivalent technical experience.
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Can-do attitude with the flexibility to manage competing priorities.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Valid Driving License
- Willingness to travel
- Fluency in English – both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Attend customer laboratories for routine PMV’s, repair visits, installations and service meetings as and when required.
- Provide technical support for customers and colleagues
- Undertake fixing, support and repair within the agreed timeframes and at all times ensuring that customers are kept up to date with the progress.
- Complete service reports in CRM and ensure they are completed fully, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Update instruments placed at customer laboratories with software and middleware upgrades as required.
- Provide feedback to global product teams on instrument reliability and quality.
- At all times, ensure that quality and regulatory requirements and company policies are adhered to.
- Participate in service and commercial meetings as and when required.
- Input into the development of training material, support literature and technical guidance for external and internal customers.
- Maintain the required level of product knowledge on instruments and assays to enable our customers to be successful and share that expertise with internal and external customers.
