Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards.
  • This role requires proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance tasks on a range of machinery used in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings.
  • Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately.
  • Analyse symptoms reported by operators and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs at customer sites on various models of construction machinery to uphold operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
  • Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time.
  • Generate digital reports outlining equipment condition, repair history, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
  • Reporting any warranty issues promptly.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Liaising with Service Controller’s and Product Support Managers throughout the day to provide updates on repair progress and equipment status.
  • Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities.
  • Keep customers informed about the status of maintenance activities and any unexpected delays or issues.
  • Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety on-site work areas
  • Maintaining safety, cleanliness and general housekeeping of company vehicle.
