WesTrac is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Field Service team in our General Construction branch. The successful applicant will lead a field service crew focusing on customer satisfaction, flat rate times, technician productivity, efficiency, safety, workshop housekeeping and job quality. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will lead the team coordinating maintenance and repairs on Micro to Mid-sized Excavators, Graders, Skid-steers, Track Type Tractors, Backhoes, Loaders. Your ability to identify problems accurately and efficiently will ensure minimal downtime for our customers, ensuring they get the most from their machines.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Certificate III Heavy Vehicle / Mobile Plant qualification
- Leadership experience with the ability to build a cohesive team with a common goal
- Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and organise teams
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment (desired)
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence
- Excellent attitude to your work, and dedication to safe work practice
- Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination and leadership to a team of technicians
- Ensure work orders are completed on time and to a high standard
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
- Coordinating the team’s activities to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and best practice standards, ensuring all company, quality assurance and legal requirement are adhered to
- Accurately diagnose faults and assist with repairs
