Job Description & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an onsite Field Service Representative (FSR) who will be a critical member of the Persistent Systems Air Force Technical Team supporting the Regional Operating Picture (ROP) program in Minot, ND. The Field Service Representative will provide forward, hands-on support to solve our customer’s most difficult ROP problems and maintain full operational capabilities of the ROP network. Among other things, this role will be critical to developing long-term customer relationships. The onsite FSR will serve as a member of the onsite technical team and become a subject-matter expert in the support of Wave Relay® communications solutions and will be responsible for the technical aspects of ROP solutions offered to our customers. The FSR will have daily direct and recurring interaction with our customers and will play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges to our Project Field Operations Representatives and Field Application Engineers. This role is integral in supporting project development with direct insight into customer challenges and project needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of experience as an FSR or equivalent experience
  • 1 years of experience with tactical and/or strategic radio communications systems
  • Proven troubleshooting experience with communications systems and architectures
  • Experience conducting training for small groups
  • Experience with managing equipment inventory and readiness
  • Must be available to travel at least 10% of the time
  • Must have, or be able to obtain a United States Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • Air Force Security Forces or Missile Field background
  • CompTIA A+ or other IAT Level I certification in accordance with DoD 8570 guidance
  • MANET or Wave Relay® experience
  • DoD Information Assurance experience
  • Strong tactical mindset and incorporating technology into operations.
  • Experience supporting Line of Site and Beyond Line of Site communications networks
  • Testing and evaluation experience
  • Smart phone and tablet computer configuration experience
  • Video encoder experience
  • Land Mobile Radio (LMR) bridge experience
  • Automotive electrical systems experience
  • Configuration management experience
  • A2B Tracking or similar IUID equipment tracking system experience
    The base pay for this role can vary from $60,000 to $70,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus. Responsibilities:

  • During the initial roll-out, perform daily installs of the ROP system within missile field (MF) vehicles, as well as at various TOC sites
  • Execute work orders related to deployment of line replaceable/shop replaceable ROP equipment located on-site according to scope of work, planning/service level agreements and quality standards
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc preventative maintenance tasks on ROP system components
  • Identify areas of potential improvement in equipment, training and support and elevate to Senior Field Service Representative
  • Perform firmware, configuration and security updates as needed
  • Assist Air Force MF personnel with procedures and optimization of the ROP system
  • Act as the end user’s primary technical point of contact ensuring rapid solution to any reported issues
  • Provide project technical assistance, product education, and training to Air Force MF personnel
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products and solutions
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for ROP networking systems
  • Conduct equipment checks as needed on ROP equipment throughout the missile field
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) components and consumable items
  • Follow direction and guidance from Senior Field Service Representative
