Description:

Job Summary: The Field Service Technician will support the pre-commissioning, installation, commissioning, yearly equipment maintenance, field operator training and warranty commitments at customer locations across Canada.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post Secondary Technical diploma in engineering discipline (i.e., electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, etc.).
  • Must have 1+ year of field experience; experience servicing air compressors, HVAC, and/or other rotating power equipment preferred.
  • Must have at minimum the following field tickets: First aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation, Transportation of Dangerous goods and WHIMS

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and other documents.
  • Exceptional “motoric “and mechanical skills.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good record keeping skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and disciplined.
  • Ability to lead and direct training for customers.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task in a changing environment without supervision.
  • Must have a professional presence, both online and in person.
  • Ability to build trust and nurture professional relationships.
  • Must speak and hear clearly, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have a fully equipped service truck with necessary tools to perform on-site maintenance and repairs. A per kilometer allowance will be provided to cover travel to and from site.
  • Must work with Calgary operations to ensure the necessary parts are stocked and available for field support.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive customer experience at customer sites throughout Canada.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Qnergy’s Instrument Air products and remote power generation.
  • Perform remote field support, system and component testing.
  • Write product and process documentation, and lead training sessions.
  • Communicate manufacturing and engineering issues discovered in the field.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to find solutions.
