Description:

Diplomatik are currently seeking qualified and experienced Field Service Technicians to join our clients team in Townsville.
Your role will involve performing repairs and maintenance on forklifts, plant equipment, trucks, and other machinery both in the field and in the workshop.
These roles are Temp to Perm positions, with an immediate start, 42-46 hours per week (potential for 50-55 hours with overtime and callout work)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Understanding of trade servicing and repair standards and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret service and parts manuals.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards.
  • Forklift license & experience
  • Proficient numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work to standard times.
  • Commitment to working within safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service and repair equipment to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Compile clear and accurate documentation for time keeping, job repairs, and materials requisitioning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment, adhering to HSE responsibilities.
  • Operate equipment and use tools professionally, reporting any faults.
  • Ensure security of tools, spare parts, and the assigned vehicle.
  • Complete tasks within standard times and costs, maintaining environmental standards.
  • Attend and participate in company-provided training and meetings.
  • Prevent non-conformance and take corrective actions when necessary.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize personal and others’ safety, complying with safety instructions and policies.
  • Report incidents, hazards, tooling, and maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Use PPE as required and follow waste management and environmental practices.
  • Ensure EEO practices and procedures are followed.
  • Conduct weekly service vehicle inspections and ensure tools are clean and stored properly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
