Description:

Are you a skilled and experienced technician looking for an exciting new opportunity? Diplomatik is on the lookout for talented Field Service Technicians to join our client’s dynamic team in Townsville.

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of the action, tackling repairs and maintenance on a variety of machinery, including forklifts, plant equipment, and trucks, both out in the field and in the workshop.

  • Generous Hours: Enjoy a solid workweek of 42-46 hours, with the potential to boost your earnings through overtime and callout work, reaching up to 50-55 hours!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Understanding of trade servicing and repair standards and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret service and parts manuals.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards.
  • Forklift license and experience.
  • Proficient numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work to standard times.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expert Maintenance: Perform top-notch repairs and servicing to meet manufacturer and company standards.
  • Precision Documentation: Keep meticulous records of your work, ensuring clear and accurate job reports.
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, always adhering to HSE guidelines.
  • Professional Operation: Use tools and equipment expertly, reporting any faults promptly.
  • Secure Handling: Ensure the security of tools, spare parts, and your assigned vehicle.
  • Efficiency: Complete tasks within standard times and costs while upholding environmental standards.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and company meetings to stay at the top of your game.
  • Proactive Action: Prevent non-conformance and address any issues swiftly.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritise safety for yourself and others, following all safety instructions and policies.
  • Promptly report incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Use PPE as required and adhere to waste management and environmental practices.
  • Follow EEO practices and procedures.
  • Conduct weekly service vehicle inspections and maintain clean, properly stored tools.
