Hach is seeking a full time Field Service Technician I to join our team around the Edmonton, Alberta, Canada area.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
- At least 4+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and traveling. Proven background in mechanical or technical troubleshooting, with specific experience as an Instrument Technician being highly desirable.
- Self-Management and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to self-manage, take initiative, and handle a busy workload with competing priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Up to 75% travel within a 4-hours radius from Edmonton. You will start your day traveling to various customer locations within the Edmonton area, extending up to Fort McMurray, with occasional trips to nearby Saskatchewan.
- Perform Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on Hach equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, providing them with technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that their equipment meets the highest standards of water quality.
- Safety and Preparedness: Always prioritize safety, adhering to company guidelines, especially when overnight stays are required, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and secure manner.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete necessary service reports and documentation, updating customer records and providing feedback to your team on any potential improvements.
- End of Day Review: Wrap up your day by reviewing the tasks completed, planning for the next day’s service calls, and ensuring your equipment and tools are ready for the next assignment.
