Field Service Technician

This is a great opportunity for an entry-level or graduate candidate to gain valuable industry exposure, enhance their skills and progress within the life-sciences industry.
MLH Field Service Technicians repair, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on pipettes. Comprehensive training is provided.
Previous experience in laboratory work is a plus, but it is not necessary.

SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to read and follow instructions as posted.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to accurately pipette to the Gilson Standard.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to manage a busy schedule with relative independence.

• Provide quality service to all customers
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues
• Maintain and develop customer relations
• Working with customer service and sales teams to meet targets
• Perform repetitive tasks accurately in accordance with instructions
• Read and interpret technical diagrams
• Use small hand-held tools to perform calibration and repair
• Attend regular training to maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Follow prescribed safety procedures when handling equipment and hazardous materials
• Maintain accurate records and reports
