Description:
Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency improvement over cart-picking operations, by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure.
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide on-site repair and maintenance support for our robots at customer locations. This role involves extensive travel within Europe.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent experience and aptitude are also valued.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in a similar hands-on technical role or demonstrable technical aptitude. Robot-specific training will be provided.
- Familiarity with basic electrical and electronic schematics is highly advantageous.
- Proficient with mechanical tools, meters, and electrical testing equipment.
- Self-motivated, with a strong problem-solving ability in both independent and customer-facing scenarios.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
- Proficient English/German written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform on-site preventive maintenance for robots and charging stations.
- Manage and nurture on-site customer relationships, ensuring smooth and efficient robotic operations.
- Troubleshoot and execute on-site repairs, including preparation and necessary equipment management.
- Train and educate customers on basic maintenance/repair of Locus Robotics.
- Assist customers with handling non-hardware-related escalations on-site.
- Analyze robot data to identify early signs of component degradation.
- Complete service reports and manage support tickets in Salesforce.
- Provide additional off-site technical support as required.
