Position Description:
Our Field Service Engineers experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and updating medical devices in a laboratory setting. The current product line being supported is a gene sequencing device. This is a great opportunity for you to advance your technical and leadership skills!
We are hiring immediately with an expected start date of ASAP. You will have the opportunity to grow into new roles while traveling to different locations weekly and learning the medical device industry.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing and configuring hardware, software, and network products.
- Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations.
- Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration.
- Per-diem position requiring travel and flexibility to travel to different locations within the United States weekly.
- Weekly assignments, ranging 3-5 days per assignment. Travel nationally to support customer needs.
- Appropriate PPE is provided to all employees prior to the start of assignments.

Job Requirements:
- An active and unrestricted driver license is required for this position
- Prior experience as Field Service Engineer preferred but not required
- Entry level engineer role with 1-2 years of working experience preferred
- Background in electronics or Electronics and Engineering Technology (EET)
- Ability to work independently in team environment
- Ability to work effectively in highly sensitive environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally
- Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system
- Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Experience in healthcare, field service, engineering, biomedical, electronics, electrical, or technical work is beneficial for this position.
