Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

WSP is currently seeking for a Field Technologist/Technician for our Land Development group. This position is based in our Winnipeg office and will be responsible to work on projects with a focus on public and private clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, road design and land development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in Land Development projects, including topographic surveys; design and construction; contract administration, including construction layout
  • Proficient in the operation of survey equipment, including GPS equipment. Must be able to undertake preliminary surveys, construction layout, volume, and quantity calculations.
  • Experience in Material Testing and Inspection would be an asset
  • Proficient or a working ability with AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Complete daily inspections and contribute to sections of technical reporting under the direction and supervision of intermediate and senior engineers
  • Participate in and promote a safety-first culture
  • Other duties as assigned
