Responsibilities:
- Assists with maintenance and construction work at TRCA’s flood infrastructure and hydrometric gauging locations conducting vegetation removal, debris removal, sediment removal, and other tasks.
- Operates power tools such as, but not limited to, chainsaws, line trimmers, drills, concrete saws, pumps, and generators.
- Operates fleet trucks, trailers and UTV’s to carry out maintenance projects.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and vehicles, perform daily vehicle circle and other health and safety checks.
- Participate in daily safety meetings including tailgate meetings, hazard identification and emergency planning.
- Assists with flood infrastructure inspections.
- Assists with installation and maintenance of TRCA’s hydrometric gauging network.
- Incumbents may also be assigned other duties.
