Te āheinga The opportunity
As Turf Field Staff, you will be an integral part of our Parks and Open Spaces team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing our district’s turf areas. This 6-month fixed term role will be to support our Turf Maintenance Team. Your role will involve executing the scheduled work programme, ensuring our turf areas are in top condition, and contributing to the overall aesthetic and safety of our public spaces. Additionally, you will assist in managing graffiti and fly-tipping issues, ensuring our community remains clean and welcoming.

Ensure all health and safety directions/instructions are followed.
Carry out turf culture and contract work as scheduled/directed.
Engage with the public and provide a quality customer service.
Utilises resources effectively.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako Essential skills and experience
Field experience in the maintenance of Parks and Reserves that may include but not limited to cemeteries, horticulture, arboriculture, and/or turf culture.
Drivers licence for relevant vehicle classes.
General fitness at a level to be able to cope with the demands of the job.
