Description:

SUMMARY

The Field Technician I is accountable for collecting client samples from oil and gas wells and facilities within their assigned region.

College graduate or related industry experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Collect samples from oil/gas wells and facilities following Core Lab standard operating procedures.
  • Respond to client concerns and requests.
  • Train to become proficient in specialized sampling.
  • Maintain field vehicle in good working order such as routine servicing, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Carry out field analysis and sampling as per “Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms.”
  • Conversant with analytical services provided by Core Laboratories and those required by the client.
  • Comply with all health, safety and quality management system requirements of Core Lab and those of the Clients.
  • Maintain communication with the Calgary and Edmonton laboratories. Inform supervisor of incidents with field equipment, trucks and sampling.
  • Able to commit to overtime.
