Job Description
Join our team to enhance the specialist field sampling capabilities of the Sydney Industrial Analytical Services Group. We are looking for a dedicated professional to support the environmental, chemical, and petrochemical industries. This role requires a willingness to travel and work additional or after hours as needed.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake practical field work of sampling and analysis as necessary, and occasional travel will be required;
  • Provide technical support to client;
  • Undertake developmental work under supervision in connection with new methods of analysis and instrumentation;
  • Undertake audits and inspections on client site as required;
  • Implement analysis protocols for new and existing service markets;
  • Organize time efficiently on analytical projects to ensure deadline are met;
  • Keep accurate records and prepare technical reports on work conducted.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will meet the below criteria:

  • Have a tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Chemistry and/or
  • Experience in the environmental, chemical, or petrochemical industries.
  • Experience in wet chemistry, gas chromatographic, and gas measurement techniques (desirable)
  • Experience in occupational health and hygiene monitoring and measurement (desirable)
  • Experience with GCMS, HPLC, UV-Vis, IR, and AAS or ICP (desirable)
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and NATA accreditation (desirable)
  • A current driver’s license and willingness to travel and work additional or after hours is essential.
