Field Telemetry Technician

Our Network & Telecommunications have a great opportunity for a Telemetry Technician to join them in Kendal.
As the successful candidate you must be prepared to travel to other Electricity North West offices and depots, predominantly across the Lakes.

OUR ROLE

As a field-based Telemetry Technician you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of Remote Terminal Units (RTU) and other intelligent electronic devices.
These devices support the SCADA / Control System used by Electricity North West to monitor and control the whole Electricity system.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Complying with Electricity North West health and safety regulations demonstrating the ability to identify risks and work safely in different location and environments;
• Liaising and assisting internal and external stakeholders with the delivery of Telemetry workstreams;
• Adhering to Electricity North West Codes of Practice (COP) and policies in relation to Telemetry and Automation systems of the electricity network including the Network Management System (NMS);
• Supporting with the development and implementation of new technologies to enable Electricity North West to meet our stakeholder’s requirements.
