Description:

Our client is a specialist and independent Corporate Finance Advisory firm, dedicated to Financial Services and Financial Technology companies across Europe. They are looking to recruit a senior analyst/associate to work with the wider team in London.

REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES

The best candidate will have good experience of FIG sector M&A transactions, strong project management skills, good communication and team skills and a strongly analytical mindset. In addition, candidates must have/be:

  • 3-6 years of relevant sector experience from a bank, boutique or accountancy practice
  • A good knowledge of M&A and the ability to apply their skills creatively to diverse client needs;
  • A minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent from a top university
  • Demonstrable drive and determination – a self-starter
  • Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills
  • In depth knowledge of the financial services industry sector
  • Sound understanding of accounting and corporate finance
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to develop and deliver effective and “error-free” analyses, client presentations and internal and external communications in a timely fashion
  • The ability to synthesize information effectively in order to create persuasive and well-supported client “pitches” and advisory presentations
  • The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as to act as a collaborative team members
  • A strong work ethic and good judgment in structuring and organising work, setting priorities and being flexible in responding to changing demands
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of transactions, including M&A and private fundraisings
  • Support the running and project management of the transaction process
  • Create and review financial and valuation models
  • Draft and provide input to relevant transaction documents
  • Manage submissions / presentations to internal committees
  • Assist in the preparation of financial and strategic presentations for clients including marketing pitches
  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions including generating marketing & transaction ideas
