Description:
Our client is a specialist and independent Corporate Finance Advisory firm, dedicated to Financial Services and Financial Technology companies across Europe. They are looking to recruit a senior analyst/associate to work with the wider team in London.
REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
The best candidate will have good experience of FIG sector M&A transactions, strong project management skills, good communication and team skills and a strongly analytical mindset. In addition, candidates must have/be:
- 3-6 years of relevant sector experience from a bank, boutique or accountancy practice
- A good knowledge of M&A and the ability to apply their skills creatively to diverse client needs;
- A minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent from a top university
- Demonstrable drive and determination – a self-starter
- Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills
- In depth knowledge of the financial services industry sector
- Sound understanding of accounting and corporate finance
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to develop and deliver effective and “error-free” analyses, client presentations and internal and external communications in a timely fashion
- The ability to synthesize information effectively in order to create persuasive and well-supported client “pitches” and advisory presentations
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as to act as a collaborative team members
- A strong work ethic and good judgment in structuring and organising work, setting priorities and being flexible in responding to changing demands
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of transactions, including M&A and private fundraisings
- Support the running and project management of the transaction process
- Create and review financial and valuation models
- Draft and provide input to relevant transaction documents
- Manage submissions / presentations to internal committees
- Assist in the preparation of financial and strategic presentations for clients including marketing pitches
- Contribute to team meetings and discussions including generating marketing & transaction ideas
